The Shipping Network
What does shipping has to do with industrial buildings ?
A lot, as it turns out. Frisomat is advantageously situated near the Albert Canal. All steel is transported by boat, which is more favourable for the environment. This way, Frisomat contributes to a greener world. A 1350t inland navigation vessel consumes 4 to 7 times less fuel per
tonne-kilometre than trucks. A ship can transport as much as 40 wagons or 70 trucks. Shipping is therefore the most appropriate mean of transportation for the raw materials of our steel constructions.
Thursday the 22nd of April, Frisomat welcomed The Shipping Network for the “ABC of the Shipping”-event. 40 managers got a guided tour around the production environment. Afterwards the future of the shipping industry was a major topic at the network reception.

Fire Safety Engineering
What does fire safety has to do with industrial buildings ?
Honestly… very much. Frisomat has the ambition to make its industrial buildings as safe as possible. In a structural way, the steel constructions are designed optimally. But how does an industrial building behaves in case of fire ? This is the main question the study group wants to answer. Frisomat is one of the promoters of the Fire Safety Engineering study group. The results will be converted into valuable instruments for the main target groups : industry and education.
Each meeting, the study group explains the results and progress from the past 6 months, like so the 23rd of April. Frisomat industrial buildings and fire safety, a solution.

Oldtimer Rally
What do old-timers and industrial buildings have in common ?
Not very much, but
Frisomat was glad to welcome an impressive column of old-timers. Around 100 classic cars, each shiny under a wonderful spring sun. Steel constructions and old-timers, oiled partners.
